U-Value Calculation | Thermal Transmittance | For buildings in Oxfordshire
What is a U-Value? Thermal transmittance, also known as U-value, is a measure of heat loss in a building element such as a wall, floor or roof. The units of measurement are W/m²K. The better-insulated a structure is, the lower the U-value will be. We can calculate u-values for one or more elements of your designed construction strategy and we will also offer advice in terms of reaching building regulation standards for those fabric elements. Our fees for a u-value calculation are £40 per building element and they are carried out by a qualified SAP assessor, where official documentation will also be provided. However, if you require a full SAP Calculation for the purposes of building control compliance, please visit our SAP Calculation page. |
